Dave resigned as a Pastor 12/31/11. Clergy life... well.... sucks major arse.. MAJOR. I would NEVER recommend it to anyone. David served faithfully 24 FREAKIN' 7 to this congregation as well as many others. Days and nights.... being called in the middle of the night to hand hold.... his day and half off? Yeah.... Never happened. It was weddings, funerals, premarital counseling, community service, preparing for worship as well as endless meetings.

He did this 100% commitment with ZERO gripe. He is truly called to do the Lord's work.

So... since he resigned.... the church he so faithfully served has turned their backs on us. (ok.. not all of them.... he still has a loyal following)

Today he got a call in streaming tears from a parishioner that her sweet husband died unexpectedly..... that she knows he is not her Pastor anymore but that her DH KNEW my DH loved him and always remembered his name. My DH told her that he did love him!

So.... on this Friday night...... my DH is who is no longer a Pastor.... is still doing his duties which he so promised in Christ.... and is sitting with her and holding her hand......
